Obituary for Donald J. Deola

DONALD DEOLA, 67
Donald Deola, 67, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at his home.
Donald was born January 17, 1950 at 6:33am in Shore Road Hospital Brooklyn, New York to John and Amelia Deola. He graduated from William E. Grady High School in 1967 specializing in Electronic Technology. Donald served his country proudly in the Army from 1969 to 1971. Donald was employed by the Transit Authority as a signal specialist. He was an active member of the community and involved with the Boy Scouts of America, All American Soccer (Coach), American Legion, Knights of Columbus, CYAC. Donald loved to sing hit songs like “Mack the Knife” at Karaoke events and competitions across Brooklyn. He enjoyed trips to Coney Island where he would ride the Cyclone and watch the fireworks shows every Friday after watching baseball.
Donald is survived by his two sons, John and Mark Deola and daughter in law Annette Deola, his love Mia Rosa of Brooklyn, NY, his sisters Mary and Connie and brother in law Joe as well as his nieces and nephews Colette, Laurie, Dawn, Joey, and the late Vincent Turano, as well as grand niece and nephew Vince and Sophia.
A celebration of life service will be held from 2 to 5PM and 7 to 9PM, Sunday, May 21 at Andrew Torregrossa & Sons Funeral Homes, 345 ave U, Brooklyn, New York 11223. Burial will follow on Monday, May 22 at 9:30AM at St. Marks Roman Catholic Church, 2609 East 19th street, Brooklyn, New York 11235.
